Maximize motion control
Underneath the hood of the Conductor Sa2.6 is a first of its kind array of processors that can seamlessly control pan / tilt / roll / focus / zoom / monorail, all at the same time. But just because something moves doesn't mean that it moves well.
The magic is in the software. eMotimo has dedicated years to building algorithms that make the moves seamless and are easy for the end user to implement.

Description
The Monorail by RigWheels driven by the Conductor SA2.6 from eMotimo is a groundbreaking camera motion control system designed to simplify complex camera movements and make professional-grade motion control simple to implement for large-scale shots. Featuring a unique design where the camera and gimbal hang beneath a single, infinitely extendable rail, the Monorail allows for smooth, precise camera operation in a variety of environments. This innovative system makes it easy to achieve overhead shots, and long tracking sequences, with the flexibility to adapt to both studio and on-location productions.
Highlights:
- Extend infinitely
- Easily execute overhead shots
- Simplified low-profile rigging
- Wall mountable
- Network connectivity
- Simple user interface
- Easy to transport
- Self calibrating/correcting
- Full keyframe/preset automation
- Operate wireless or connected
Engineered to work seamlessly with DJI Ronin RS2, RS3, and RS4 Pro gimbals, the Monorail supports a wide range of camera and lens setups, allowing filmmakers to capture precise shots without worrying about stability or compatibility issues. The system is driven by the Conductor SA2.6, a sophisticated control system from eMotimo that integrates up to 8 axis of movement for precise, programmable, and repeatable cinematic shots. Whether you're looking for preset camera movements or want to create custom keyframes, ramping, and timing, the Monorail's control system gives you the flexibility to produce high-quality results with minimal effort.
One of the key advantages of the Monorail is its ease of use. While it offers professional-level control for experienced operators, the user-friendly interface ensures that even those new to camera motion control can quickly learn and operate the system. The setup process is significantly simpler than other motion control systems on the market, with a single rail design that simplifies what is usually complex rigging. The ability to add or remove rails as needed further enhances the system's versatility, making it ideal for everything from food preparation videos and live events to product shots and overhead unboxing videos.
Built with precision-machined 6061 aluminum components, the Monorail is designed to last while remaining lightweight and portable. The entire system, including 12.6 feet of track can pack into a single Pelican case (sold separately), making it exceptionally easy to transport for on-location shoots. For studio installations, the Monorail can be integrated with third-party camera control systems and connected to network systems, allowing for seamless control across different environments.
Whether you’re filming in a studio, a house of worship, or on a bus interior, the Monorail system is engineered to handle challenging environments with ease. Its robust construction allows it to support any camera/lens combination that DJI RS2, RS3, and RS4 Pro gimbals can manage, ensuring smooth, stable movement even in tight or unusual shooting conditions.
With its original design and unmatched versatility, the Monorail + Conductor camera motion control system from RigWheels and eMotimo offers a more affordable, portable, and efficient solution for filmmakers looking to add dynamic camera movement to their creative work. By solving common motion control challenges and making advanced camera movements accessible, Monorail empowers creators to capture complex shots with confidence and precision.

Control Options
1) Direct Control using Gaming Controller. This is the best place to start for simplicity and speed. Power up the Conductor, connect the remote, and follow the prompts on the screen. The range of the controller is about 20-60 feet based on your environment. If you are using a battery and a wireless transmitter for your camera, this solution does not need to have wires attached so it's easy to rig.
2) Over Network with Bitfocus Companion - Plug into eMotimo Conductor’s wired Network Port. From anywhere on your network you can control the Monorail + Conductor with prebuilt Bitfocus Companion configurations on Stream Deck controllers.
3) Over Network with Skaarhoj PTZ controllers –Plug into eMotimo Conductor’s wired Network Port. From anywhere on your network you can control the Monorail + Conductor with PTZ controller from Skaarhoj
What's included / needed
Included from RigWheels.
-Monorail carriage customized for Conductor integration.
-8 pieces of 19" PortaRail (12.6') with connectors and end-caps.
-2 pipe clamps with light stand adapters
-eMotimo Monorail Conductor intrgration kit
Other items needed.
-DJI RS2, RS3, RS4 gimbal
-Camera compatible with gimbal
-Power base for the gimbal
-Power source with d-tap distribution
-Nucleus M or DJI focus/zoom motors as needed (only one DJI motor can be controlled through the Ronin. If both focus and zoom are needed Nucleus M motors would be required)

Intuitive user interface
Getting up to speed on motion control systems can be intimidating. eMotimo has spent countless hours and done a great job making the most common shots easy to set up and execute. See more about the controller here.
Beyond portable
Camera Motion control doesn't have to be big, heavy and cumbersome. With Monorail + Conductor you can easily fit 40+ feet of motion control in the back of a sedan.
Also integrates with Passport / RailDolly
The eMotimo Conductor also integrates seamlessly with the Passport and RailDolly for a beltless motion control speed-rail slider. Easily implement both solutions using the same components.
FAQs
Can I use _____ gimbal with this?
You can use the Monorail Conductor independently as a "smart" linear solution but you would need to control non supported gimbals separately.
The eMotimo controller currently supports communication with Ronin RS2, RS3, RS4 gimbals.
If your RS2,3,4 Pro gimbal has the expansion port to take the DJI Focus Knob, you are set. If it can't, it doesn't have the correct connection to enable the Conductor to communicate with it.
See photo here.
Can I use _____ camera with this?
You can use any camera/lens combination that the above gimbals support.
Can I move _____ with this?
You can use this solution as a programmable linear system to move anything so long as the load is relatively centered underneath the carriage.
Can I connect this to a network.
The Conductor SA2.6 has a several ways you can communicate with it. One of the most powerful, extendable and reliable ways is through its wired network port.
The Conductor has a 10/100 Network Connection that can be configured in many ways. The most common is to plug it into a wired network to obtain an IP address from your router (Dynamic or Static) and serve as a TCP Server to reply to commands issues to it. Typically This enables communication from anything on the network that can see that IP address.
Once on the network, eMotimo can talk to Bitfocus Companion (prebuilt configurations) , Skaarhoj Controllers (prebuilt configurations), Dragonframe, and our open and published eMotimo API for those that want to incorporate control into other applications. Unlike inexpensive devices that rely solely on spotty and variable latency wireless communication, the Conductor's wired network port gives reliable, low latent performance over long distances for production environments for short and long terms installations.
Conductor also has an onboard Wifi receiver that may be turned on to enable faster run and gun setups, but at this time only the wired connection is fully supported.
What is the weight capacity?
Because "hangers" can be placed in-between sections of PortaRail, the Monorail system can be setup to support heavy loads. The limitation for weight comes from the compatible gimbals. The RS4 Pro supports a payload of 10 pounds.
How far can I extend the rails?
Using the hangers, you can extend the PortaRail as long as needed. Without support you can expect a useable span of about 20' with an acceptable amount of flex in the rail.
Does this work with PTZ cameras?
You can use the Monorail Conductor as a "transport" for a PTZ system but you would not have the smart coordination of pan/tilt/zoom/focus/slide coming from one controller. The PTZ and slide would be controlled independently.
Can I integrate this with my PTZ system.
Yes! With the camera/lens options available from major manufacturers there is certainly a way to get a Monorail + Conductor system integrated into your current PTZ workflow.
Can you help me implement this?
We have installation partners in some locations who are up-to-speed on integrating Monorail +Conductor in networked environments.
