Our Journey
In 2011 after a creating a new way to make a low-cost dolly/slider, Owner Lance Lundstrom decided to offer the solution to other professionals and RigWheels was born.
Shipping out of a garage at first, the original RigWheels have been used by customers in more than 90 countries providing a versatile option for camera movement.
RigWheels is now a large eco-system of products and continues to design solutions from a different perspective. Check the receipts, RigWheels creates original products, not copied ones.
RigWheels design philosophy
Utility
First and foremost, we pack as many functions and options for configuration into each piece of gear as we can. This makes RigWheels unique in the cluttered marketplace of single-purpose camera accessories. With our products when you purchase one item, you already have components for several other configurations. This shared-component design philosophy allows you to do more while carrying less and save money by using the parts in different ways.
Portability
Creator Lance Lundstrom has worked in more than 50 countries as well as every State in the U.S. This experience of remote, on-location production is reflected in the design and function of RigWheels tools. We want you to carry as many solutions in the smallest amount of space possible. A slider, dolly, or mount does you no good if it’s sitting in your garage.
Flexibility
RigWheels started out as a product to build DIY sliders and dollies. We maintain that DNA in all of our design and allow customers to purchase components à la carte so they can imagine and create the system that best suits their needs. We purposely use common hardware and not proprietary bolts/screws/connectors to give users the most options for configuring and using parts in different and creative ways.
As creator of RigWheels, my goal has always been to develop new solutions that solve production challenges in more efficient ways.
