RigWheels PortaRail is the original Collapsible Speed Rail system. First introduced in 2014 it is the strongest and most accurate collapsable rail that we have seen on the market. Constructed from high-grade 6061 aluminum for rigidity and machined to a tolerance of .001″, sections of the track connect seamlessly via threaded connectors (you will not notice a “bump” when rolling over them).

Can I use PortaRail with _______ Dolly / slider?
PortaRail uses the same OD as standard 1-1/4" speed rail / grip pipe / grid pipe. Any system that is designed for use with these kinds of pipe can be used with PortaRail
How long can I extend the rails?
You can connect as many pieces together as you like but for normal setups you would want to add support every 8-10'.
Can you see/feel the seams when you roll over them?
No, you will not notice the seams when you roll over them. These are very precise precision machined components.
Can the connectors be used with standard speed rail?
No
Can the end-caps be used with standard speed rail?
Yes
Can the 19" and 40" pieces be used together?
Yes, the threading and OD are the same
