Description
RigMount X Magnetic Camera Mount
The RigMount X Magnetic Camera Mount offers a powerful and portable solution for mounting both photo and video cameras. Featuring industrial-grade, high-power rare-earth magnets, this mount provides incredible strength when attached to steel surfaces.
With its magnetic mounting capability, you can place your camera in the ideal position quickly and easily. The RigMount X will soon become your go-to tool for fast, effortless camera placement in any environment.
Once secured, the RigMount holds firmly, giving you peace of mind that your camera will stay exactly where you need it. Unlike other mounting devices that may sag or detach, the RigMount guarantees stability—especially in extreme temperatures where traditional suction cups may fail.
Unlike suction mounts, which are prone to vibration due to rubber components, the RigMount X’s design minimizes vibration, ensuring smoother, more stable shots. Its specially designed rubber coating protects mounting surfaces from scratches without compromising the magnet's holding power.
Built to last, RigMount magnets feature stainless steel studs for maximum strength and corrosion resistance, along with a proprietary rubber casing that has been perfected over years of refinement.
Specifications
Size: The mounting plate is 8.170″ square

Like most rigging, useable payload depends on many factors like orientation, speed and terrain amongst others. Our recommendation is that RigMount X be used for DSLR or similar size cameras. For larger cameras you can certainly use the RigMount X as a base when supporting with additional rigging.
FAQs
What kind of tripod head should I use?
You can use any flat-mount tripod that attaches via 3/8" bolt. There are many options available but one head that we use regularly is: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1408036-REG/manfrotto_mh496_bhus_496_ball_head_with.html
I got the magnets stuck together. How do I separate them?
It's human nature to want to snap the magnets together. In order to separate them you will need to thread them onto something to get enough leverage. Do not try to separate them using a knife/screwdriver etc...
Will the magnets erase my media?
No, flash media is not affected by magnets.
How fast can I drive.
This depends on position and terrain but normal driving speeds are usually not a concern:
